Privacy Policy
What data we process, why, and your rights (GDPR).
1. Data collected
- Email address (account authentication);
- Your journal content: trades, R-multiples, notes, and screenshots you add;
- Username and content you publish on the Wall;
- Display preferences (light/dark theme; language);
- Usage data for audience measurement and error diagnostics (pages visited, interactions within the interface), collected without cookies.
2. Purposes and legal basis
This data is processed to provide the service (maintain your journal, calculate your metrics, run the community Wall and your subscription). The legal basis is primarily the performance of the contract between you and us when you use the service.
3. Hosting & transfers
Data is hosted with Supabase (database, authentication, storage): data at rest is stored on AWS, eu-west-1 region (Ireland, European Union). Application hosting is provided by Vercel, a US company. Transactional emails are sent via Resend, with an EU sending region. Subscription payments and billing are handled by Creem, our payment provider (Merchant of Record), which receives the data needed for billing. Audience measurement, usage analysis and session replay (with content masking) are provided by PostHog, hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt region, Germany), in cookieless mode. When you choose to sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Google LLC (a US company), a subprocessor that processes only the authentication data required for this purpose (your Google account's identifier and email address). When you use the AI analysis assistant, aggregated trading statistics derived from your journal are sent to Anthropic (a US company), which processes them solely to generate your insight. Transfers outside the EU are covered by appropriate safeguards (the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).
4. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, and delete your data, as well as the right to data portability (export). To exercise these rights, contact us at contact@tradedaybook.com.
5. Cookies and audience measurement
The service uses only strictly necessary cookies: a session cookie for authentication (Supabase), a theme preference cookie (next-themes), and a language preference cookie (next-intl). No third-party advertising cookies are placed.
To understand how the service is used and improve it, we measure audience, record session replays and collect error diagnostics through PostHog, hosted in the European Union and configured without cookies: no identifier is stored on your device. Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent banner is required; the legal basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in operating and improving the service. For signed-in members, these measurements are tied to the account's technical identifier (pseudonymous data, never your email). Replays mask input fields and displayed text so as not to expose your journal content. We honor your browser's “Do Not Track” signal. To opt out of this measurement or request deletion of your usage data, email us at contact@tradedaybook.com.
No financial advice
This service is a journaling and tracking tool. It does not provide investment advice and makes no promise of results or profit. Trading involves a risk of loss.
